Snow Day

The forecast last night for today was 70% chance of rain, turning to snow tonight with a maximum accumulation in "the valley" (here) of 1/2 inch.

At 9am, snow started falling. And kept falling. No worries, it was almost 60 degrees yesterday....it won't stick. By 10:30, Paul and I were salting and shoveling our our extremely steep driveway to get the employees out one car at a time. It caught everyone by surprise with 3-4" of snow.So what did Trevor think about schools closing at noon?Do you remember how you could tell how many kids were at your house from the shoes at the door? When we got to the house, there were 4 cell phones lined up on the kitchen counter. Brett, Abbey, Eric (Brett's friend), Justin & Wrin (brothers that are friends of Brett and Trevors), and some other kids all headed over to the horse farm for sledding and snowboarding. They came back about 2 hours later, soaking wet, cold, and worn out!

Here are some shots from later in the day when Trevor and I went back there later in the day after it quit snowing. The conditions were rapidly melting at this point but he still had fun.

Trevor on the snowboard that Rhonda gave him a few years ago.Trevor heads up the hill. Gee.....how did all of those silt fences get knocked down? Must have been wind:)A series of him going downhill. How was your day, Trevor? As of 5:30, Brett and Abbey are asleep on the couch. Trevor is asleep on the floor in his room.
